First Coast Crush
About the Fall 2019 Season
U8-HS aged boys eligible
Season Begins September 28th
Season will conclude January 13th. Box lacrosse training will be held following the last tournament in December
Season will be broken into three phases:
Phase 1 will run from late-September into October. We will focus heavily on fundamentals, and teaching what we call “lacrosse IQ,” or in other words, a players understanding of what the next right play is. These fundamentals will help get us ready for the North Florida Invitational in Mid October.
Phase 2 will run November through the Orlando Open in Early December. We will focus heavily on team concepts. The Florida Fall Classic in early November will challenge our group even more and will be a great indication of what each team & player needs to work on to also be successful at the Orlando open
Phase 3 will run from mid-December through January 13th. We will focus on teaching key concepts of box lacrosse and playing in tight spaces. The benefits of this kind of training were evident in watching Team Canada this year and we want to bring that to our players! This session will consist of skills training and small sided game play.
Fall Crush will start September 28th with two days per week training at alternating locations:
Fort Family Park (formerly 9A Baymeadows Regional Park) on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm
Alternating between Episcopal School of Jacksonville & Bartram Trail High School on Saturdays from 10:00-noon.
